Jewel of the day: Malcolm Betts Ruby Drop Earrings

It’s (finally) sunny and warm(ish) and thoughts turn to skimpier clothes and more colourful accessories. I love the bright red ruby drops on these earrings by British Malcolm Betts.

Betts is based in Notting Hill, London, and he notes about his work, “With his passion for breathing new life into old stones- along with his own distinctive hand-beaten finish – Malcolm’s one of a kind creations are desired worldwide. Inspired by the beauty each stone can possess, he handpicks each and every gem from across the globe.”

These earrings are made of 22 karat gold set with black rose cut diamonds totalling 5.27 carats, channel set diamonds weighing 0.23 carats, and pear shaped rubies weighing 7.22 carats. There is no price indicated.
