I know there are plenty of people who would look at this ring and be horrified that you can see inclusions and carbon spots, that it has a grey cast, that it isn’t, well, a sparkling piece of engagement ice a la Brides Magazine. But those are the precise things about it that I really love.
This ring by Alexis Russell uses a large and lovely rose cut diamond. I am sure it would be considered highly imperfect by many engagement ring shoppers. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Russell notes in its description, “Conflict free diamond weighs 3.77ctw and measures 11.5 x 9.5mm, band is 2mm wide.” The band is made of 14k white gold, and I believe the band and small diamond to the left of the centre stone may be a separately sold stacking band.
This piece is USD $2,995 and Russell has several other fabulous rings made with similar stones, if unblingy bling is your thing.
