One of the things that drives me nuts about bangle bracelets is the noise they make clanking against each other. One of the great things about these bangles is that the wood is wrapped at one point with gold and silver metallic leather, which I would imagine muffles the noise somewhat and does so in a very stylish manner. I had to look closely to realize it wasn’t just metal.
The other good thing is, according to the site, that they are, “Handmade from locally sourced woods and metallic leathers by marginalized women in Northern India. Proceeds from this collection go to fund literacy programs for the women artisans and their children in the community.”
Looking good by doing good is always a great thing in my opinion. These cost USD $22 for a set of two bracelets; sold by Raven and Lily.
