The design for this Protection Ring by Daniela Villegas is kind of cool. Alas, as there are scant details on the Roseark site where it is being sold, I am guessing it is an actual porcupine quill, tipped with gold (carat content unknown or at least unstated), with a diamond set band set in the centre.
On Villegas’s own site, she notes, “Porcupine Is inspired by the power of faith and trust. For the Native Americans the porcupine quill was seen as a weapon, to protect them from negative energy attacks.” I’m so clumsy I would probably need some protection from banging my hand on something and breaking the quill. On this site, the details are as follows: 18k rose gold, white diamonds, porcupine quill.
It is available for purchase from Roseark for USD $3,000.
