Architect turned designer Molly McGrath uses the techniques she learned to construct building models when crafting her jewelry, sold under the name Molly M.
She works with laser cut plywood that is then coloured and assembled. This Atlas 1 necklace, part of her Maroq line, is made of birch stained platinum, sea foam and coral, as well as turquoise and platinum leather. The pendant measures 2.25 inches x 3 inches. It hangs from an oxidized sterling silver chain, and sells for USD $100 on her site.
She also designs homewards and really intriguing laser etched leather pouches in gold, silver, platinum, rose, copper and gunmetal leathers. These range in price from USD $45-90.
