Yesterday’s post reminded me of Lisa Jenks, so I decided to have a look at her site to see what she’s been up to. I saw lots of semi-precious stones used in strands for bracelets, some great sterling work and this …. which is pretty damned fantastic.
Dubbed the Boomerang bracelet, the curvilinear shape is like the best of the 40s and 50s Modernist designers. My favourite Henning Koppel amoeba bracelet made for Georg Jensen comes to mind. More formally known by it’s design number, 68, I am fortunate to own this stunning piece which, surprisingly to me, was designed in the late 1940s.
The modern aesthetic is still very, well, modern and wearable. Lisa Jenks’s Boomerang bracelet is custom-made to order and considering the work involved, sells for a very reasonable USD$2,520. Allow 4-6 weeks for its construction and delivery.
