Being generally very laissez faire on weekends, I stumbled across an Alexis Bittar trunk show, complete with Mr. Bittar himself, on a day when I had changed bags and had no business cards on me. Figures. There went the opportunity to set up a little interview. It was quite busy, and so I settled for shaking his hand and telling him that I like his work. I then browsed the very well stocked counter.
Though there were a lot of Bittar’s trademark lucite pieces, my magpie’s soul spotted these sparkly yet subdued chandelier earrings. I love that they are broad as well as long and have a lot of movement to them. Part of his Miss Havisham collection, the web site description adds that the inspiration for these is actually outer space, constellations and space formations. Earth to orbit … sparkle on.
These sell for USD $245 at an inner space counter near you.
