If the onslaught of Christmas carols (which to my dismay I started hearing in stores November 1), special Starbucks drinks and “Buy, buy, BUY for the holidays!!!” is already weighing on you, never fear. Designers already have spring designs in the can.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Swarovski Spring 2014 preview, with “artistic” as the
theme for the collection. As always there are a lot of diverse looks, some more closely mirroring the theme than others.
There were some new styles I really liked, including a ring and pendant with circular elements that screw apart so that you can customize the ultimate look. There were gold plated, crystal set, and black rings, also varying in size, which really added to the unique look you can create.
As in previous years, Swarovski also is using leather and mesh in their designs. This cuff bracelet has jagged crystals set in gold tone metal placed on a wide leather band with a gold chain border. Sorry, did not get their look book with names and prices, but pieces like this typically sell for $450 and up. Look for the new collection in stores in spring next year (usually March onwards).
