I have a hard time associating Ralph Lauren with out and out bling like this crystal cuff bracelet. I think of sterling or silver coloured link bracelets, faux tortoiseshell … well, faux Upper East Side New York, mostly.

But tis the season (almost) and I guess like most designers and shoppers, thoughts turn to sparkle for the holidays.

I’m not a fan of C-cuffs like this, with no actual closure. I find that on me, they turn on the wrist and I am constantly fiddling to move them so that the open back is in fact on the reverse of the arm, and not sliding around. Lauren used Swarovski crystal, and the appear to be prong-set and not glued in, which is a plus as far as longevity is concerned. USD $1750 seems steep to me for this piece, which I also think could be easily replicated in something vintage (or, heaven forbid, mall) for way less.
