This is an intriguing new line by famed French jewellers Boucheron, dubbed Quatre. As they note, it draws on the house’s savoir-faire … and what I love about that is that the French can truly get away with saying this without sounding ridiculously pretentious. Especially as it basically means “know how” in English.

So their savoir-faire has led to this ring with four distinct design elements: a band set with .51 carats of white diamonds, two textured 18k white gold segments, and a black PVD section. PVD is essentially a process called physical vapour deposition and when a black finish is required, titanium is used.

Other metals are available (including yellow or rose gold). Although Boucheron does not have an online shop, this ring is available elsewhere online. Madrid jeweller Carlos Jimenez currently has this ring at a sale price of 3,470.00 € (which includes VAT).
