This ring leaves me sort of speechless. For one thing, I haven’t seen a rotary dial phone in years, so it has a certain uber vintage wink, wink, quality to it.

For another, it’s the kind of ring you buy when you have all the showy stones you could possibly want and just desire something real that is also a bit sly and unexpected. And lastly, it has a certain useless, louche quality to it that you can’t help but love.

In essence, it’s almost a “screw you, I have so much money, I can toss it at this funky ring that cost me thousands!” type of thing. Gotta have a certain type of admiration for that.

I’m assuming thousands as there is no price. It is made of diamonds, 18k yellow gold and mother of pearl, with a hinged top, and a “dial” on top with the words “I love you” picked out in pave diamonds.  Available from the aptly named Sybarite Jewellery.
