Jewel of the day: Masaki Hirose Yume Bracelets

Second only to my passion for all things sparkly is my makeup and skincare obsession. So while browsing through the Tatcha site (a cool skincare line that is based on Geisha rituals and traditions) I came across these pretty, single (cuff) or double wrap bracelets, made of brocade cloth called kinran.

The site notes, “An entrepreneur and dreamer, Masaki Hirose is a self-taught artisan. While following his first calling of becoming a sushi chef, he discovered the gold brocade pattern kinran in a Kyoto street. Enamored, his passion turned to creating hand-sewn modern bracelets from the traditional Japanese fabric. Today Hirose-san’scraft has traveled from the streets of Kyoto to L.A. and Paris.”

These are a very reasonable USD $85 each and Tatcha ships internationally. (Yay!)
