Jewel of the day: Unearthen Lapis Pyxis Cuff

I’m not sure if I’m more intrigued by this bracelet, or by this description of its creator, Gia Bahm:

Gia Bahm, creator of Unearthen, selects the crystals used in her pieces according to the histories, qualities, and sizes of the materials. She is a collector, an aestheticist, a creator, and a destructor… much like all of us who are constantly perplexed by the forces of nature and humankind. She lives and works in Los Angeles, balancing her life between wardrobe styling and jewelry design, between summer nights in the woods and winter days on the streets.

As someone who has visited LA a lot, I am just trying to picture nearby woods (struggling with that) and “winter days.” But on to the bracelet.  It is made with three pyramid shaped pieces, one of lapis lazuli and two small quartz stones. The finding is made of sterling silver, presumably gold plated. This sells for $480 from Toronto’s Magic Pony.
