The way the claws on this ring grip the sapphire says, “MINE” about as firmly as anything could. I love how the claws are such an integral part of the design, instead of being a minimalist backdrop for the stone. 

The stone is a 1.85 carat sapphire (as my birthstone, it’s a gem I’m partial to, but I just love blue anyhow). The claws are 18k green gold but the band appears to be made of white gold. That may just be my monitor, however. Made by Lauren  Wolf, this sells for USD $1,100 at Catbird NYC.
