The animal trap design (can’t really think of another way to describe this) in this ring by Annelise Michelson is pretty intriguing. The two sections of the ring are (obviously) sized differently, to accommodate the tip and base of the finger.
Per Michelson’s site bio: Born and raised in Paris, Annelise Michelson grew up in the artistic world of her parents. Annelise subsequently developed her own taste for fashion and design throught permanent contact with artists and craftsmen; her godfather, a professional tailor, was instrumental in the emergence of her vocation.
After graduating from the Paris “Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture”, fashion design school, Annelise gained extensive experience by working with several well-established fashion designers (Paul and Joe, Vanessa Bruno…) and fashion houses (Hermes, Lolita Lempicka…) where she developed a true sense of her own aesthetic and design style.
After a stylist requested that Annelise make some custom for accessories for a French Vogue shoot, Annelise discovered her passion for jewelry and launched her first collection in October 2010.
Each piece is produced in limited quantities and hand-crafted in France using only 100% French materials. Annelise Michelson’s Costume Jewelry has gained popularity with celebrities like Alison Mosshart from The Kills, Eva Green, Rosario Dawson, Robin Wright- Penn, Adrian Brody, Theodora Richards, The Do and Zelda Williams.
This ring sells on her site for 255 euro.
