Jewel of the day: antique Indian diamond and enamel sautoir

Even though this was made at the end of the 19th century, can’t you just see it with a white shirt and jeans, or an A-line black dress?

Auctioned November 13 in Geneva by Christies, the piece is composed of graduated circular gold collets, each set with a table-cut diamond and applied with green enamel on the side and reverse, to the later added similar cluster pendant suspending an emerald drop and pearl terminal.

Pre-sale estimate was USD $$159,269 – $265,449 should your festive dress be in need of a bit more festivity.
