I was actually looking for the Elsa Peretti pendant in this design, but it is not on the Tiffany website. (Which is odd, as I just got it in the store…this means, of course, that due to set completion syndrome, I will have to put these earrings on my “to buy” list. The mesh scarf is the one I’m really craving but its price is way out of my snack bracket, alas.)
In yet another example of the confluence of real and costume jewellery, Peretti’s fascination with the manufacture of mesh led her to Whiting and Davis, a renowned American firm perhaps best known for mesh purses. Peretti worked with the company to use the machines, which essentially knit the metal prior to it being soldered and finished, and Peretti mesh designs were born due to the heritage of a long-time American designer. (You can read a bit more about Whiting and Davis here.)
These earrings sell at Tiffany for USD$1,225. The design also comes in sterling silver.

Love these mesh earrings! I believe it’s ok to “mesh” up occasionally! Here is another pair of earrings that I think you will love: http://www.fash365.com/2014/10/its-ok-to-mesh-up-occasionally.html
