When 1928 Jewelry Co. started (40 years ago), they offered reproductions of Victorian and deco pieces. They’ve since branched out to much more contemporary designs under a variety of diffusion names.
Though this hummingbird comes from what they call their antiquities collection, it’s a familiar costume jewelry design. Boucher and others made very, very similar pieces. And it’s possible the findings are identical: it was not unheard of for different companies to offer their own take on a casting, with different coloured stones or finishes.
This little piece is set with Swarovski crystals in a rose-toned base metal and sells for USD $30.
