Finding a signature piece is always a way to set your style. There is lots of advice as to what should be in every woman’s jewellery wardrobe (think classic diamond studs, strand of pearls, gold bangle bracelets) but there’s something well, more stylish about taking an unexpected item and making it the one people associate with you.

Italian born and US raised, Federica Rettore began her firm in 1994, and also did a stint overseeing Gucci’s jewellery line from 2005-08. She has won several awards for her designs.
