Jewel of the day: Tony Duquette brooch

Tony Duquette was a prolific and multi-talented designer who worked in many arenas: film and theatre costume and set design, interiors and fine jewellery. He died in 1999 and his designs are being produced by partner Hutton Wilkinson. A gorgeous coffee table book about his lavish designs is available and well worth looking through.

This brooch is set with a carved emerald, green amethyst, diamonds and fluorite set in 18k gold. Really gorgeous.
