I like this little whimsical butterfly; what I’m not as fond of is that the primary stones in the wings are made of resin (that would be plastic), instead of the poured glass they’re meant to look like and for which Madame Gripoix was renowned for, particularly for her work with Chanel. Oh well. At least it’s a brooch. Reminds me a bit of work by Schreiner and Sherman, if you are more of a vintage lover.
