Shompole Collection works with native African artisans to produce jewellery rendered in gold, precious and semi-precious materials, bone, and beads. They say the artisans themselves price and “determine the fair value” of their pieces. Prices are relatively high, the price of gold notwithstanding, so it’s good that the artisans are reaping the financial rewards of their unique designs.
