Israeli designer Mirit Weinstock launched her own design business (she has some lovely wedding gowns) after an internship with Alber Elbaz of Lanvin. She has a small but unique jewellery collection, featuring the shuttlecock used in badminton. I would never have thought of these items for use in jewellry but she has taken an object that most of us have seen in another context and made it beautiful and wearable.
This necklace is made of silver and gold dipped feathers strung on three silver chains, and sells for USD $335. There’s also a stunning “leaf” necklace made out of organza. Well worth checking out.
