Jewel of the day: Me to We Artisans Lamu earrings

Me to We Artisans is a sustainable crafts/jewellery endeavour that is part of Free the Children. My son recently spent three amazing weeks with the group in Kenya, where these earrings are from. They originate on the island of Lamu, a Swahili settlement off the country’s coast, and are made of hand-stamped sterling silver on decorative hooks. Materials are locally sourced, with profits split between to the artisans and sustainable development projects by Free the Children. Available for $49.99; a smaller, tear-drop shape is available for $10 less.
