The Cartier trinity ring is probably the best known design using three entwined bands, but this design by third-generation California designer Liseanne Frankfurt gives it heft without stripping it of its elegance. It reminds me of Frank Gehry’s Bilbao museum design – off kilter yet perfectly placed.
She describes it this way:
This inspired take on a classic ring is a stunning combination of slightly irregular flat bands in 18k yellow gold, a bent band in 18k rose gold, and a thin 18k white gold band set with pave white rose cut diamonds. It is substantial and quite fun to wear, as the bands move and twist around to give a different perspective on the interaction between the gold, the diamonds, and the different shapes. This ring makes a strong statement as a wedding band, and looks great on both men and women. It can also be made without diamonds, or in your choice of color for the 18k gold.
