Jewel of the day: Jeanine Payer Starry Sky charity necklace

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll know what a big fan of Jeanine Payer’s I am. I also like to highlight jewellers who use their designs for charitable fundraising. Jeanine has partnered with Mountain2Mountain, a group that works to provide education and support for women and girls in conflict regions. Working with M2M, she has designed a small limited edition collection available exclusively on her website and in her San Francisco store.

This piece, called Starry Sky, is described as ” a high polish, sterling silver star pendant with hand texturing on both sides. The pendant is accented by a high polish, 18k gold disc attached by a sterling silver rivet. Hand engraving is featured on the face of the disk. Chain fastens with a sterling silver S-hook clasp.” It sells for $310, with 50 per cent of the proceeds going to the charity.

The necklace and collection can be seen here.
