The art of scrimshaw was practiced by sailors on long voyages, who would pass the time carving intricate designs into ivory, whalebone or tusk material. The designs were usually shaded in black to stand out. Monique Pean, who believes in using reclaimed natural materials wherever possible, offers a bracelet made of fossilized woolly mammoth and scrimshaw beads, with a single grey South Sea pearl. The closure is a rose gold S hook clasp set with a small diamond. Available for USD $2125.
