I have collected a fair bit of unique Jeanine Payer designs over the years, but the ones I love the most are the “books”, tiny pendants with two “pages”, often embellished with a miniscule photo and engraved with a lengthy poem. The more intricate of these have been missing from her collection for several years but I am really delighted that there are three in her brand new offerings.

I like this one the most because of all the poems, I’m most drawn to it. From Lao Tsu, it reads, “simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.”
