I saw artisan pieces made by Margaux Langue at Facere Jewelry Art Gallery in Seattle – they have wonderful things, if you are visiting the city (and their website can be seen here). Langue uses Barbie doll parts to whimsical, innovative and sometimes startling effect. She hass one off pieces and production items, which are less expensive. The Black Quote Bubble brooch is a production piece that can be purchased from her Etsy shop here for USD $220. Part of her Plastic Body Art series, the salvaged parts are set in sterling and accented with resin and give discarded Barbies and Kens a whole new afterlife.
