I have always adored the simplicity and very personal nature of this bracelet. Each charm was gifted to Wallis, Duchess of Windsor, by her paramour, initially as Prince, then King Edward, and then as her husband, the abdicated Duke of Windsor.
Hanging from a diamond set chain, each cross is engraved with dates and personal messages. This bracelet and 19 other previously auctioned pieces are coming up for offer again through Sotheby’s on November 30 in London. The estimate is 350,000—450,000 GBP. It sold at the 1987 auction for £235,000.
More photos and interesting tidbits about the auction and the Duke and Duchess is available here. The auction listing is here, should you be inclined to register for a paddle.
