I was recently invited to the Swarovski celeb suite for the Toronto International Film Festival and came face to face with a wall of glam. Crystal curtains, displays showing unique and limited edition items, limited edition bags for red carpet stars. Needless to say, it was love at first bling. I fell in love with several designs, but none caught my eye quite like the Mellow scarf necklace. It can be worn several ways and I could see it with everything from casual attire to an elegant night out.

I also saw – yes! – brooches. Notably, a huge crystal and black piece designed for Swarovski for their very limted Atelier collection by Karl Lagerfeld. And if brooches are good enough for the Kaiser, baby, then they’re good enough for you!
