The Chanel J12 is a gorgeous watch but it comes with a very stiff price tag. When shopping for a good watch, I asked jewellers their opinion of the J12 versus the Cartier La Dona and was told repeatedly that the J12 is pretty … but not a great investment. I still like it but still dislike the price tag.

I saw these brightly coloured Anne Klein watches very much in the spirit of the J12 but what I like the most about them (besides the USD $65 price tag) was the overall design (the slightly deco crystal numbers) and the fabulously summery colours. It’s also available in purple, orange and yellow and at this price, you can afford to have more than one. Available at Nordstrom in the US and generally at large department stores.
