I have long been fascinated by these, their spare elegance, the heft and finish. The black and red are older colours; they now also come in an orchid purple, persimmon, brown, mottled black and red, and green. I confess to lusting after the solid gold bangle…. not in my immediate future but still lovely to look at. But … maybe one day the gold lacquer wood bangle.

According to the info card that came with one of them, they are made of magnolia wood before being lacquered in the Japanese style. So although they are substantial, they are very light weight. The sterling silver cuff is also very wearable. These still retail at Tiffany, and there are several other lacquered designs in the Peretti collection.
