I confess that I’m not a huge David Yurman fan. There’s a real sameness to the designs and I’m also typically drawn more to unique pieces I won’t see coming and going on other people.

When I heard that Mr. Yurman had bought a copy of my book on Sherman jewellery I was kind of tickled … and wondering if perhaps the bright colours and out there glitz of Sherman might rub off. No such luck. I did find this very pretty ring, made of blue topaz and pave diamonds, though.  And the most colourful thing I saw in his new collection. So maybe he was a little bit inspired by Sherman. Retails for $1350 USD.
