Another piece on offer in the May 11 Sotheby’s auction of magnificent and noble jewels, this piece (property of a lady – of course!) is a splendid early Deco necklace. Made of turquoise, lapis lazuli and diamonds and dated to 1929, this would look as beautiful today as on a flapper’s long shift dress.

Auction estimate is 23,000-38,000 Swiss francs.
