Different iterations of the classic bow…. the very large and extravagant sterling and paste bow was likely made in the 1880s. It comes apart because that would have been the only way to construct it at the time, or so I was told by an antiques expert. This is a massive piece, nearly as big as my hand, and the penny in the picture should give you some idea of its large scale.
The bow with the aqua rhinestone centre is also sterline and made by Reja; likely late 1940s. And the gold tone retro piece (not quite a bow but still) was made by Boucher and dates to the mid-1940s. Marcel Boucher began his career in fine jewelry design and that expertise was evident in so many of his costume pieces.
