I have a real fondness for Birks pieces from the 20s and 30s. Birks is a Canadian company, still in business, often compared to Tiffany. These seem to have been made for them in France and Germany, where the quality was very high, and then stamped with the Birks name and country of origin. They have held up very well over time. I find them most often in dress clips which, fortunately for me, are not that popular as a collectible. But you can wear them on a lapel or though a button hole on a jacket, and as intended in the corners of a neckline, and they still look stylish. Will post some more Birks pieces soon.
