Jewel of the day: Sherman silver bead bib necklace

The chain strung beads are among my favourite Sherman designs. Beads on nylon or silk tend to “chew” through the stringing and break unpredictably. Chain is pretty resilient. And the designs, like webs, really intrigue me. These are far less common than Sherman bead strands and when they do come up on Ebay, bidding tends to be fierce.

  1. Thank you for your information about the Sherman bead bib necklace – I recently came across this beauty in my local Value Village – I’ve tried to research the value with no luck until I seen your pictures on Goggle Images. I have to say this piece took my breath away, mine is in mint condition the crystals are shiny and beautiful the gold chain has no tarnishing and my slap is round with rhinestones (a little different then yours) It is stunning- Could you please help me with put a price on this, you said they sell for hundreds – what is the highest you send one sell and if you were to put a buy it now price what would you ask (not that I’m thinking about selling it, because it is just too beautiful but I’m curious.
Thank you in advance for your expertise,

    1. Gail, I’d need to see a photo and I could try to give you some idea of value. Condition plays a huge role, but there are other factors too, including ccrystal colour and whether thenpiece is signed. You can email me at intotemptationjewelry@gmail.com.
