This set is, in my experience, unusual for Los Castillo. They didn’t do too much work with pearls (unlike some other Mexican designers) and I like that the pearls they used are different shapes, sizes and colours. It gives the piece a more organic feel. The manmade alexandrite changes colour from purple to blueish green, depending on the light. And I love that there is a matching ring. I can only wonder if somewhere out there, a matching pair of earrings is waiting…
