Monty Don is best known today as a British garden expert. But in the 80s, he and his wife designed brilliant costume jewellery. They hit their high point when Princess Diana was photographed in a pair of pearl drop earrings tied with a fabric bow.
I bought these years ago on Ebay from a tiny picture. I had no idea how large they are. The pin and earrings are each about five and a half inches long. They are HUGE. Wearing them together is definitely overkill … but they look so smashing together.

I was given a pair of these same earings in 1989 , they were stolen when on loan to my daughter. Mine were not coloured but crystal. Would you sell these ?

I lent them to my daughter for her 21st, 5 years ago. She lost them but I suspect they were stolen.I couldn’t believe it as they were so beautiful and now rare. Sorry I can’t help you…some thief has them I expect and probably so mmm e other 25 year old who has no idea about them.
