This pin reminds me of the faces carved onto churches and old buildings … and the “lord of the wood” type of illustrations found in old books of fairy tales. Most art nouveau pins depicting people show a maiden with long flowing hair – I like that this is different. I think it’s American, based on the mark, but if anyone out there is familiar with the maker “IG”, I would love to know!
