I love the unabashed glitz of this set, signed Hobe. And the fabulous checkerboard watermelon stones take what could have been a pretty but kind of so what piece and push it firmly over the top. I don’t think it would have been as interesting with a ruby or emerald or sapphire coloured centre stone. I would imagine it’s 1950s but could be 6os (will have to ask a friend when those checkerboards were made to date more precisely) but it’s still a very wearable and ultra glam set.
